In Siddhirganj bazar, the Pran Ballabh sweet shop has sold doi, matha and kacha chhana since 1950. The kacha chhana is soft, barely sweetened curd cheese, eaten fresh by the spoonful. The doi is set in clay pots and is a local favourite for festivals and family visits. It is a simple taste of the district's dairy traditions.
