Mridha Roshan Ali Molla opened Molla Hotel in Jhenaidah in 1968. The building was destroyed in the 1971 war; he started again in 1972 and moved to Hamdaha in 1984, and his son has run it since 1987. Its beef bhuna is what people travel for, with mutton bhuna a close second, eaten with rice or wheat roti. The hotel is open 24 hours with staff working in shifts, which makes it a reliable stop on the highway.
