Bardhankuthi in Gobindaganj upazila was the seat of a zamindar family whose estate dominated the area for generations. Brick structures, walls and a temple survive in various states of ruin among trees and ponds. Some local accounts link the site to much older history in the region. It is a quiet place to explore on the way between Bogura and Gaibandha.
How to get there
Gobindaganj is on the Dhaka–Rangpur highway; take a rickshaw to Bardhankuthi from the town.
