In Bhurungamari upazila, an old steel bridge built for a colonial-era railway crosses the Dudhkumar River. The railway is long gone, and a newer road bridge now runs nearby, leading to the Sonahat land port on the Indian border. The river is wide and clear in winter, with views of fields and border villages. It is a quiet, scenic stop in the far north.
