Singair Mosque lies about 200 metres south-east of the Sixty Dome Mosque, on the other side of the Khulna–Bagerhat highway. It is a square brick building under one hemispherical dome, with three doorways on the east, round corner towers and terracotta decoration on the walls. It dates from the mid-1400s and was in ruins before the Department of Archaeology took it over in 1975 and restored it. Because it is so close, most visitors to the Sixty Dome Mosque can see it in a few minutes.
How to get there
Cross the highway from the Sixty Dome Mosque and walk about 200 m south-east.
Good to know
Take care crossing the busy highway. Morning light on the east front shows the brickwork best.
