Karamjal is a Forest Department station on the Pasur river, a short boat ride from Mongla. A raised wooden trail leads into the mangroves, where you can see breathing roots, crabs and monkeys up close. The station runs a breeding centre for estuarine crocodiles and river terrapins, and keeps spotted deer. It suits day-trippers who cannot spend nights on the water.
