Shahzadpur Dargah Mosque
শাহজাদপুর দরগাহ মসজিদ
A fifteen-domed old mosque on the Hurasagar, beside the shrine of Makhdum Shah Dowla.
This old mosque stands on the west bank of the Hurasagar river in Shahzadpur, about 2 km east of the Bogura–Nagarbari road. It is a single hall, wide from north to south, with five doorways on the east side. Inside, eight stone pillars divide the room into fifteen bays, each covered by its own dome. Next to it are the shrines of Hazrat Makhdum Shah Dowla and Shamsuddin Tabrizi, and pilgrims come throughout the year.
How to get there
Take a bus to Shahzadpur, then a rickshaw to the Dargah area by the Hurasagar.
Good to know
Visit together with the Rabindra Kachharibari in Shahzadpur. Dress modestly and avoid prayer times.
