Ramrai Dighi covers more than 40 acres and is thought to date back several centuries, though its exact history is uncertain. Its high banks are planted with hundreds of litchi trees and other shade trees, making it a pleasant walk. In winter, migratory birds rest on the water. Local families come for picnics on holidays.
How to get there
Take a bus from Thakurgaon to Ranisankail upazila (about an hour), then a rickshaw to the dighi.
Good to know
Visit in early summer to see the litchis ripening on the banks.
