Tagore's Birthday at Patisar

Songs, recitation and a village fair at Tagore's old estate on his birthday each May.
Every year on 25 Boishakh, Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary, Patisar hosts celebrations around the kuthibari. Local and visiting artists perform Rabindra Sangeet, recite poetry and stage short plays, and a fair springs up with food and craft stalls. Villagers who remember the zamindar's school and bank in family stories take part with pride. It is a warm, small-scale way to experience Tagore's place in Bangladeshi culture.
