Balish Misti

বালিশ মিষ্টি

A big, pillow-shaped sweet soaked in syrup and topped with thick cream, Netrokona's pride.

Balish misti takes its name from its shape: a large, plump sweet that looks like a little pillow. It is made from chhana and flour, fried, soaked in syrup and finished with a layer of thick khir. The sweet was created by Gayanath Ghosh's shop in Netrokona town, and the shop is still the place most people seek out. One piece is enough for two.
