Buddha Dhatu Jadi (Golden Temple)

Known to most visitors as the Golden Temple, Buddha Dhatu Jadi stands on a hill at Balaghata, a few kilometres from Bandarban town. Built in a style reminiscent of Myanmar's pagodas, its golden spires and dragon-guarded stairways glow in the afternoon sun. It is an active place of worship for the Marma Buddhist community, so visitors are expected to keep their voices low.

How to get there

About 15 minutes by CNG from Bandarban town.
