Satchari National Park

সাতছড়ি জাতীয় উদ্যান

A tropical hill forest named for its seven streams, home to gibbons, langurs and many forest birds.

Satchari, meaning 'seven streams', is a protected forest surrounded by tea estates in Chunarughat. Short and long trails wind beneath tall trees, crossing sandy stream beds. Hoolock gibbons, Phayre's and capped langurs, and many birds live here, and a canopy watchtower helps with sightings. A Tripura village sits within the park area.

How to get there

On the Dhaka–Sylhet highway; buses can drop you at the park gate, about 1 hour from Habiganj town.

Good to know

Go early, walk quietly, and hire a guide for the longer trail. Wear leech socks in the rains.
