Home-grown hill oranges from Naniarchar and nearby upazilas, sold in Rangamati town in December and January.
Orange orchards have spread across Naniarchar, Baghaichhari, Bilaichhari, Barkal, Longadu and Juraichhari, with Naniarchar growing the most. The fruit is local komola, a little tart and very fragrant, picked from December to January. Growers bring it by boat to Rangamati town, where you can buy it fresh by the kilo.
