Padma Chars near Faridpur

North of Faridpur town, the Padma spreads wide, with chars that shift every year with the floods. In late autumn, some are covered in white kash grass flowers that wave in the wind. Local boatmen from the riverside ghats can take you across for a walk on the sand. It is simple, open and peaceful, a very different side of the district.
