Nawab Palace (Mohammad Ali Palace Museum)

The Nawab Palace stands on the west bank of the Karatoya in the middle of Bogura town. It belonged to the Nawab family of Bogura, whose best-known member, Mohammad Ali Bogra, became Prime Minister of Pakistan. Since 1998 the two-storey house has been a museum: artist Aminul Karim Dulal filled its rooms with sculptures showing the household at work and leisure, from the billiard room to a music gathering. Outside is a small amusement park with rides for children. The Department of Archaeology declared the palace a protected antiquity in 2016.
