A potters' community south of town making terracotta pots, vases and decorative pieces by hand.
Bijoypur, in Cumilla Sadar Dakshin, is known for a long tradition of pottery run by the Rudrapal potter community, now organised as a cooperative. Artisans shape clay on wheels and by hand, fire it in kilns and paint pieces with simple designs. Visitors can see the process and buy household and decorative ware directly from the makers.
