See the place on video
Chandimura sits on the summit of the Lalmai hill in Barura upazila, south of Cumilla town. The main shrine is dedicated to the goddess Chandi (Kali), and a Shiva temple stands close by. A long stairway climbs the red-earth hill, and from the top you look across the flat fields of Cumilla. It draws pilgrims at festival times but few tourists on ordinary days.
How to get there
From Cumilla town take a CNG toward Lalmai/Barura and ask for Chandimura; the last stretch is on foot up the steps.
Good to know
Remove shoes at the temple. The steps are steep, so carry water and go early in hot weather.
