Baba Adam's Mosque

বাবা আদম শহীদ মসজিদ

A six-domed brick mosque from 1483 at Rampal, with black basalt pillars and the tomb of Baba Adam Shahid nearby.

Baba Adam's Mosque stands in Qazi Qasba village of Rampal, the old heart of Bikrampur. An inscription over the central door dates it to 1483, in the reign of Sultan Jalaluddin Fath Shah, and names its builder as the officer Malik Kafur. The brick prayer hall is roofed by six equal domes in two rows, carried on slender octagonal black basalt pillars and the doorways and mihrabs sit in recessed rectangular frames. The tomb of Baba Adam Shahid, a 15th-century preacher, lies close by. It is a protected monument and is still used for prayer.

How to get there

From Munshiganj town take a rickshaw or auto to Rampal (Qazi Qasba), about 3–4 km away.

Good to know

Avoid prayer times and dress modestly. Pair it with the Rampal dighi and Ballal Bari area nearby for a Bikrampur heritage morning.
